Fabulous door knobs and knockers can help sell a property
It is always worth standing outside your house and looking at it as a prospective buyer would. Does it give a feel of wanting to go inside and see more?
First impressions matter with house buyers and many make up their minds as soon as they see the property from the outside. Investing in a lick of paint for your front door with some fabulous door knobs and knockers could really make a difference.
Here are some top tips for curb appeal:
1) If your house doesn't have a name, maybe think of one that helps to tell the story of your property. Houses with names get more viewings and name signs are inexpensive.
2) Polish up your door furniture, remove the tarnish and either repaint or wash down the paint work.
3) Remove any weeds on pathways leading to the door or around the door.
4) Fix anything that is broken. There is nothing worse than a letter box coming off or a doorbell with no batteries in it.
5) Consider some plant pots to make your entrance welcoming
6) If you have a front lawn, mow it and remove weeds before viewings.
7) Newquay has plenty of seagulls, remove any deposits they may have left on doors or walls.
8) Make sure front door locks work well and are oiled. Estate Agents are often seen fighting with sticky door locks and its not the best start to a viewing.
